Week 3: "Can time please slow down?"

Ok time is going way too fast... I feel as if I just got here and It's already been three and a half weeks! aaah it's insane!

(Nate in the MTC - 2017)

This week has been very great so far. Thanks to the Finnish Vanhin Mats (Elders) in our zone, I have been able to get vitamin C tablets in which they told me to CHEW... bad Idea.. So bitter and sour. haha but I've been waking up just fine so far just in time for rehearsals with our small choir to prepare for the mission president's seminar. We are singing the most beautiful arrangement of Joseph Smith's First Prayer. We also are singing praise to the man for the general authorities on the day Joseph Smith was martyred. In the past I've had a hard time being able to sing because I always cry so much due to the power of the spirit.. hopefully I'll be ok this time:)

My district was also recommended to give tours of the new buildings. It was such a great experience to take a family or two around the new facilities here at the MTC so they could see and experience the wonderful opportunities we have here. The MTC will bring members who speak Danish so we can teach them or have a kind of family home evening type of lesson. It's wonderful to be able to get to know and learn to love these wonderful people:)

I have gotten a little frustrated earlier because I have such a desire to share so much that's in my heart but can't express my feelings due to my lack of knowledge and skill with the Danish language. However, I have learned that I must have patience with myself and especially the Lord as I work and do what little I can to learn this language. The Lord has undoubtedly helped me learn the language and express my feelings through the spirit rather than word. The most important thing is to be close the the spirit and teach with love. This will be way more effective rather than trying to be fluent in speaking the language. Learn to speak the language of the spirit.

We also had Donny Osmond come and speak to us on our Sunday devotional.. haha it was interesting. He has a fun personality and great stories which was good. haha but we also had Elder Hallstrom and his wife come and speak on Tuesday which was incredible. He expressed that we need to decide TODAY what kind of missionary (or person) we need to be. We must be obedient and work to be our best which is what the Lord wants us to be.

I Love you all and hope you are having a wonderful time! The Church is true. God loves all of us and this gospel is sweet. I LOVE IT.
